Former Chilean Hydrographer, in charge of the Chilean Navy Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service; National authority in Hydrography, Oceanography, Nautical Cartography, Tsunamis and representative of Chile to IHO, GEBCO, ICA, IOC, IAPSO, SCOR and other related international organizations
Head of the National Tsunami Warning System (SNAM) and President of the National Oceanographic Committee (CONA), during almost 12 years (2010 - 2021), after the 2010 Chilean Earthquake and Tsunami.
I currently serve as an advisor to the General Director in the Strategic Planning Committee of the Directorate of Maritime Territory and Merchant Navy.
