I.Shkvorets received his training as an Engineer-Oceanologist in 1981 from the Odessa Hydrometeorological Institute (USSR/Ukraine) and has been working for 20 years in the Marine Hydrophysical Institute of Academy of Science of Ukraine. He conducted development of the standards and methods for calibration of the oceanographic instruments and took part in numerous oceanographic expeditions, providing onboard calibration of CTD-systems and QC of oceanographic data. Since 2003 he has been working in RBR Ltd.(Canada) and focused his work on metrology, calibration of the oceanographic instruments, laboratory salinity measurements, seagoing trials of RBR instruments.
