Since 1982 professional experience in sea ice and oceanography within Roshydromet as a scientist and head of laboratory of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) and State Oceanographic Institute (GOIN) of Roshydromet. Expeditionary experience since 1980 in the Arctic and North Atlantic as oceanographer, ice observer, glaciologist on shipborne and North Pole drifting stations. Candidate of geographical sciences (PhD quivalent) from the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (2003).
