Fifth International Workshop on the Fluvial Sediment Supply to the South China Sea
Summary

The Fifth WESTPAC-FluSed International Workshop will show scientific/cooperative approaches achieved mainly in the past year. The focus of the fifth workshop will be on fluvial sediment records both in the South China Sea and on surrounding lands. Sessions will be organized on subjects relevant to weathering and erosion in river drainage basins, detrital and chemical fluxes from land to sea, sea level changes and sequence stratigraphy in shelf and slope regions, and deep-water sedimentation. There will also be sessions for sediment source-to-sink linkages and for effects on sediment discharge by human activities.
