Activities
The Department of Mineral Resources is a government organization responsible for advising the Thai government on all aspects of geosciences, as well as providing professional geoscientific advice to the public.
We work under the supervision of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) whose mandate concerns the preservation, conservation and rehabilitation of the natural resources and environment, efficient management to ensure sustainable use of the country's resources in the healthy environment, and the well-being of Thai people.
Our geoscience services are in the form of the provision of geoscientific information towards the wise use of geological resources; raising the public awareness about the earth and the environment; minimizing the victims of natural disasters and enhancing the overall quality of life.
