Activities
As
physical oceanographer, I work in scientist projects and services associated to oceanic and shallow water circulation behavior.
- Study of spatial and temporal variability of ocean currents around Cuban waters, especially counter-current flows on the Cuban side of Yucatan Channel and
Florida Straits. Analysis of its seasonal and inter-annual behavior.
- Dynamic connectivity characterization of marine circulation and study of heat and mass
transport processes involved.
- Use and application of numerical models for predicting and diagnose oceanic and coastal current dynamics. Gradual development of numerical predictive capabilities.
