Biological Oceanography, Marine Ecology

I am a PhD student at Swansea University researching the applications of functional traits to macroalgal and coastal ecology. 

I am particularly interested in assessing the explanatory and predictive power of functional traits with regard to both macroalgal responses to environmental change and knock-on effects on ecosystem functions (primary and secondary productivity, decomposition) and services (e.g., sand dune enrichment and nutrient, carbon sequestration).
