Activities
My
responsibilities are monitoring of coastal erosion and accretion around the
coastline using surveys, satellite images and aerial photographs, designing
coast protective structures to combat coastal erosion and facilitate to
recreational activities, conducting water quality monitoring programs, carrying
out bathymetric surveys, monitoring shoreline changes and beach profiling.
Apart that, I was actively engaged to initiate the Disaster Hazard Assessment,
disaster Risk Reduction for four major disasters as Tsunami, Cyclone, and
Coastal Inundation and Coastal erosion in Sri Lanka.
Skills
Experienced in Remote sensing and GIS tools, Arc GIS, image analyzing using SNAP etc
