Activities

Studies of hydrodynamic circulation and mass transport in coastal estuaries, bays, and shallow shelves. Field surveys and numerical modeling are used to analyze the dynamic response due to forcings from tides, wind, and freshwater runoff. The results are used to estimate the fate and pathways of waterborne substances in support of, among other things, pollution prevention and control.
