Time series with mathematical and ecological emphasis courses were undertook because long-term data (physical and biological variables) claim a temporal integrative analysis in eastern Pacific processes in particular and in global ocean in general. During the last years I gathered information in order to improve the quality control methods for the database system (1950-2005) of the Peruvian Marine Research Institute (IMARPE). Between 2003 and 2013 I worked  at IMARPE performing analyses to test hypothesis about ENSO and regime shifts variability in the Large Marine Humboldt Ecosystem . The SST interdecadal Index of Peru was proposed.

My current research in the IMARPE is about the analysis impacts of microplastics on the sandy beaches along Peruvian coasts. I am co-PI in a project about determining the baseline of the presence of microplastics in the eatable fish and invertebrates in Peru. Nowadays, I am a member in the microplastics component of the Research Network of Marine-Coastal Stressors in Latin America and Caribbean Seas (REMARCO). Finally, I am involved in STEM for women and girls workshops since my prize "For women in Science" Loreal-UNESCO Peru, ANC and CONCYTEC 2018.
