In the context of the Ocean Decade Societal Outcome to create A Safe Ocean where life and livelihoods are protected from ocean-related hazards, the objectives of the webinar are to: 1. Showcase progress towards global tsunami awareness through the UNESCO/IOC Community Performance Based Tsunami Recognition (Tsunami Ready) Programme, the annual World Tsunami Awareness Day (WTAD), and other initiatives 2. Facilitate high-level engagement and receive feedback from multiple stakeholders on the efforts of the IOC towards global tsunami awareness
