Island States Ocean Summit: Sustainable Ocean Action for Resilient Islands – Input Request for Background Booklet

Summary

In preparation for the Island States Ocean Summit (Tokyo, 3–4 June 2026), we are collecting inputs on the current state of play of Sustainable Ocean Planning and Management (SOPM) from country delegations and partners. 

Your input will help us to:

  1. highlight ongoing initiatives and experiences
  2. identify common challenges, priority needs and opportunities for action
  3. inform Summit discussions and outcome documents

Responses will be synthesized into a high-level background document to be shared with all Summit participants ahead of the event.
