| Summary | This document provides some background on the development of international standards and best practices under JCOMM and its predecessors, CMM and IGOSS, and reviews existing material, based on information provided by the Secretariat. It proposes the compilation of existing material into a virtual JCOMM Handbook on Standards and Best Practices, contributing to the WMO Quality Management Framework (QMF). Such a handbook would facilitate the maintenance of existing material and the identification of gaps and requirements for new developments. |
